St. John’s is honoring all veterans of the armed forces on Wednesday, November 12. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:30 am in Founders’ Hall followed by a special chapel service at 8:30 am in the sanctuary. Please register here by November 5.


All high school boys and their fathers are welcome to a retreat at Camp Wartburg from Saturday, November 22 at 9 am to Sunday, November 23 at 12 pm. Participants will enjoy hiking, axe throwing, playing games, and making s'mores. Through four sessions, they will learn what it means to be a man of God. The cost is $60 per person, which includes all meals, lodging, and activities. Register here by November 5.

WINGS (Women in God's Service) is hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 25 from 2:30-5:30 pm in Founders' Hall. Please click here to register.


Wreaths Across America is an organization that exists to remember and honor fallen veterans by coordinating yearly wreath-laying ceremonies at thousands of locations. All are invited to participate by sponsoring a $17 wreath to be placed on a veteran's grave at the St. John's Cemetery or Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. All women are invited to Advent by Candlelight, an opportunity to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, Saturday, December 6 from 3-5 pm in the gym. Doors will open at 2:30 pm. If you would like to host a table of eight, please provide a dessert to share. All other decorations and tableware will be provided. Please register here by November 30.

All youth are welcome to celebrate Christmas with games, activities, a devotion, and a white elephant gift exchange. A meal will be provided. Each youth is asked to bring a side or dessert to share. Youth in grades 5-8 will meet Saturday, December 6 from 12-3 pm in the youth room and can click here to register. Youth in grades 9-12 will meet Sunday, December 7 from 5-8 pm in the youth room and can click here to register. Please register by December 1.


Let Heaven and Nature Sing traces man's fall into sin, the need for a Savior, the birth of Jesus, and the hope of eternal salvation. Intertwined with inspirational Christmas music from a full choir and orchestra along with Scripture readings and pageantry by St. John's members, performances will be held Friday, December 12 at 7 pm, Saturday, December 13 at 3 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday, December 14 at 10 am. Admission is free and no tickets are required.

All students in grades 1-4 are invited to an afternoon of Christmas fun with lunch, devotion, games, and crafts on Sunday, December 14 from 12-2 pm in room 102. Please register to attend here by December 10.
